Kinja'd!!!2 Kinja'd!!! 18

Would be the car I would choose if I was shopping in this category of car.

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

Why you ask? 148 horsepower and 258 ft-lbs of torque, that's why.

And loaded to the brim with goodies and toys it costs $26,670. Not too bad.

The power is attractive, but from what I understand they are still faily cheaply made and have poor legroom, just to consider.

I always had the impression they had good leg room. I sat comfortably in the back behind my mom in one at our autoshow. It actually had more room than my mom's Saturn IIRC.

I just hate the way they look. Amd they feel rather cheap to me. Id take the Jetta TDI over it any day (and the new TDI pack is under $22,000 and hadhas a ton of nice options. Also, manual transmission! )

I'm not gonna argue about looks, being a personal preference. I like how it looks though, the Jetta feels a little more bland IMO.

I dunno, maybe I'm jaded about the quality. Seemed fine though.

Can't into manual! It's sad but I can't.

Ford's new 1.0L Turbo 3 is another great alternative to Diesel available in the Fiesta, and maybe the Focus soon too? There are absurdly good lease deals on the Fiesta.

Ehhhhhhh. I like to be different.

Hence why I want an Avenger R/T over everything.

No I'm not clinically insane.

FWD burnouts!!! Plus, it would make MS3 torque steer seem cute.

true true. Shoulda put that its my opinion. I know a lot that like the look, I just personally am not a fan. The Jetta simple, which I kinda like personally. Again, personally im not a fan of GM. I always think it feels just cheaper (again, all me)

I do gotta give it to gm for being crazy enough to offer a diesel sedan. No one else (minus VW) is. I like certain risks they take. Key word is certain (as in im pissed they hid the Cobalt issue)

Ive never had a chance to really drive a manual :( so I dont know

Certain risks they've taken are really great.

Importing a V8 sedan that doesn't really have a market over here, for instance.

Or like every mid-2000s SS cars. Especially the TrailBlazer.

Like you said, a diesel compact. They were gonna start offering a 4.5 diesel in the Suburbans and Tahoes right before everything went kaput.

Saturn as a whole, basically.

Bringing life back to Cadillac in the early 2000s (My personal favorite)

Then they're those... other risks. (I'm so pissed about the ignition thing you don't even know)

I think the cruze diesel is still a refresh/generation change away from being good, but I love the gas engined cruze. Considering you'll be out the door at or under 20 grand for an Eco with a manual? I don't think the 25 grand diesel is a better option. Especially when it doesn't come with a manual. So if I wanted diesel, I'd still get a jetta or golf. But the cruze is worlds better than the cobalts and cavaliers of the past.

BMW, Mercedes, and Audi all offer diesel sedans in the US.

sorry I should have been more clear. No one in this segment does. Ford doesnt in the focus, honda doesnt in the Civic, Toyota doesnt in the corolla, dodge doesnt in the dart, kia doesn't in the forte, etc... but VW and Chevy do
